The WeSnus application, published by Eliott Faivre (Sole Trader), registered under SIRET 95155342900022 and domiciled at 6 rue d'Armaillé, 75017 Paris, France ("the Data Controller"), places great importance on protecting your data. This policy aims to provide you with comprehensive information on the collection, use and retention of your personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable laws.
2. Data Collected
We collect only the data strictly necessary for the service:
- Identification data: Username, unique identifier (User ID), email address, profile photos.
- Usage data (Lifestyle): Scanned products, product photos, reviews, ratings, consumption history, favourites.
- Social data: Interactions, followers and following lists.
- Technical data: Connection logs, IP address (anonymised), device type, OS version, advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) if consented.
3. Legal Bases (Why?)
In accordance with Article 6 of the GDPR, our processing is based on:
- Performance of Contract (Art. 6.1.b): To create your account, provide access to the feed and manage your Premium subscriptions.
- Legitimate Interest (Art. 6.1.f): To ensure service security (anti-spam), improve the application and conduct global statistical analysis.
- Consent (Art. 6.1.a): For sending newsletters or accessing certain native features (camera, notifications).
4. Statistics and Monetisation
Aggregated Data Clause: WeSnus reserves the right to aggregate and anonymise usage data (e.g. "Consumption Trends"). Once irreversibly anonymised (making re-identification impossible), this data is no longer considered personal data under the GDPR. WeSnus may freely use, share or commercialise these macro-economic statistics with third-party partners.
Commitment: We never sell, rent or transfer your raw personal data (Email, Identity) to third parties for individual advertising targeting.
5. Data Retention
- Active account: Retained for the entire duration of service use.
- Inactivity: Automatic deletion of data after 36 months (3 years) of continuous inactivity.
- Manual deletion: Upon a deletion request, data is erased within 30 days (excluding statutory accounting or legal archiving deadlines).
6. Data Security
WeSnus implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against destruction, loss, alteration or unauthorised access. Passwords are not stored in plain text and communications between the app and our servers are secured and encrypted.
7. Recipients and Transfers Outside the EU
Your data may be processed by our technical subcontractors:
- Supabase (USA/Global): Secure hosting and database.
- Cloudflare (USA/Global): Media content storage (images) and website hosting.
- RevenueCat (USA): Subscription and in-app transaction management.
These transfers are governed by appropriate security measures, notably the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) of the European Commission.
8. User Rights & Deletion
You have the right of access, rectification, objection, portability and erasure of your data.
In-app deletion: You can exercise your right to immediate deletion directly within the app. Go to Settings > Account > Danger Zone, then click Delete my account.
Deletion by email: You can also request the deletion of your account and all associated data without going through the app, by sending a request by email to contactwesnus@gmail.com.
Right to complain: If you believe that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
9. Protection of Minors
Due to the nature of the application (nicotine-related products), the use of WeSnus is strictly reserved for adults (18 years and over). We do not knowingly collect any personal data from minors. Should we discover an account belonging to a minor, that account and all associated data will be immediately deleted.
